29 Faces Challenge - Day 10

Today's face is a 15 minute sketch drawn with Derwent sketching pencils - and digitally altered in Microsoft to get a bit of colour in her face!  I drew her while listening to some relaxing Reiki music - do you think she has a peaceful look on her face?! :)

See you tomorrow with Face No.11! Have a lovely day! :)

29 Faces Challenge - Day 9

Here is my face for today! I'm not sure of this one!  Again, it is a mixed media piece with acrylic, gesso, collage, electrical tape and gel pens.  I like the colours, but not sure of the face!  Still, it is fun experimenting.

Hope you are all having an enjoyable weekend. :)

29 Faces Challenge - Day 7

I know I said I would do another painting, similar to yesterday's - but I decided to draw a version of the same painting instead!  Here it is:

I think collaging a face gives you new ideas for drawing - I have found it so, with this piece.

The sun has actually come out to play today!  Hooray!  See you tomorrow with Face No. 8!  Have a great day! :)

29 Faces Challenge - Day 6

Here is my 6th face for the challenge - created with acrylic, gesso, graphite and collage.

I wanted to create something fun as the weather is so dark and dreary.  I enjoyed it so much, I may make a similar face tomorrow! :)

29 Faces Challenge - Day 5

For today's face, I used a Staedtler fibre-tip pen and a fineliner pen. Just a quick sketch as the light is quite dark today - more rain as per usual!  I've never known a winter like it!  See you tomorrow! :)

29 Faces Challenge - Day 4

Another Tombow marker drawing with gel pens.  :)

Have a wonderful day!

29 Faces Challenge - Day 3

Here is face No.3 - I used Tombow markers and a waterbrush.  I must say, I enjoy drawing with markers of all kinds - much easier for me than painting with acrylic! (But I do love to experiment with new media!)

Thank you for all your encouraging comments so far - I really appreciate it. Have a great day! :)

29 Faces Challenge - Day 2

Here is my second face made out of scrap fabric and craft paint!  It was a fairly quick and intuitive piece - I wanted to work quickly (which is a change for me!)

Isn't this a fun challenge?! :) Hope you are all enjoying your weekend - the sun is shining today! Hooray! Hope it lasts! See you tomorrow!

29 Faces Challenge - Day 1

Here is my first face for the challenge - craft paints, stamps and gel pens in my moleskine journal. Can't wait to see everybody else's first faces!
